What’s the
App About?
The Group Management App centralizes community life—people with shared interests can create or discover groups, manage members/roles, schedule events, share resources, and keep conversations in one place across web and mobile. I designed a responsive, role-aware interface with clear hierarchy, quick actions, and search, making coordination effortless and scalable. This approach simplifies tasks for users, gives developers reusable, consistent components, and offers stakeholders higher engagement and clearer growth metrics.
The Case
The Problem
Communities often rely on scattered tools like messaging apps, email, and spreadsheets, making it hard to manage memberships, organize events, and keep communication clear. This results in low engagement, poor coordination, and inefficiency.
The Solution
I designed a Group Management App that centralizes group activities in one place:
Group creation & discovery → Users can easily form or join groups based on shared interests.
Member management with roles → Owners and admins can manage participation and responsibilities clearly.
Event organization → Groups can schedule meetups, reserve resources, and keep members aligned.
Communication hub → Built-in messaging and updates ensure conversations stay relevant and accessible.
Cross-platform experience → A responsive design that works seamlessly across mobile and desktop.
Impact
For Users: Simplifies finding, joining, and engaging with interest-based communities while keeping communication organized.
For Developers: Built with consistent UI components and scalable group structures that are easy to extend (e.g., roles, permissions, event types).
For Stakeholders: Increases engagement, retention, and community growth by offering an integrated platform instead of fragmented solutions.
My Role
As the UI/UX Designer, I led the design of the end-to-end group management experience.
Collaborated with a cross-functional team of developers, product managers, tech leads, and stakeholders to define the feature scope and technical feasibility.
Conducted research and validation with potential users to identify pain points in existing community tools and validate core features like role management and event scheduling.
Designed user flows and interfaces for creating/joining groups, managing members, and accessing resources.
Ensured scalability with reusable design components, making it easier for developers to expand features in future iterations.
